From: Undetected pituitary adenoma in a patient with retinitis pigmentosa

OCT of the macula shows a diffuse loss of ellipsoid zone, sparing the fovea in both eyes. This finding is suggestive of diffuse photoreceptor damage with preservation of foveal cones. There is no cystoid macular edema, neither intraretinal or subretinal fluid accumulation. Choroidal thickness is normal
